Creating a Digital Library of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Knowledge

Our digital library is an engagement tool for young Indigenous students, helping drive student interest with culturally relevent materials.

Bawurra Foundation was founded in 2015 by students, professionals and Aboriginal community leaders.

We receive financial and in-kind assistance from Australia's leading businesses and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander NGO's.

Pronounced: 'Baw-rra'

“Bawurra means Red Kangaroo in the Gamilaraay language. It symbolizes leadership and strength and is an important totem in our shared Indigenous culture.”
